A Feminist Geopolitics of Technology

This article proposes a feminist geopolitics of technology framework that analyzes the connections between global politics and techno-empires through lens scholarship. has three dimensions: (1) grounding in place, (2) attention to everyday surviving thriving, (3) community. We draw on two long-term, community-oriented ethnographic research engagements Cambodia Ghana illustrate how this approach might be used. provides resource for scholars make sense contrasts dominant narratives lived experiences, particularly encouraging more sensitive generative approaches analyzing conditions dimensions shifting technology. In writing stories caring, grounded alternatives, we hope foster support initiatives encourage personal agency living full human experience amid inequality structural violence.
